“Tonight’s Awards Evening is a celebration and a thank you for all the volunteers and community groups who do so much to brighten
up our stations in Cheshire.

“It’s not just about the winners – whether or not you win an award tonight, this is a big thank you and a celebration for all of you and for those
who support and encourage you in the rail industry, local leaders and local authorities.

“You deserve it. 2018 may have been a difficult year for the rail industry, but we are putting that behind us and celebrating something to be truly proud
of at many of our Cheshire stations during the year.

“And we have seen some excellent work from volunteers and staff at stations right across Cheshire from the Irish Sea to the Pennines.
We hope you will all be encouraged to carry on.”
