It was a good night for Cheshire at the Community Rail Awards in Manchester on Thursday 6th October 2022!

The Friends of Goostrey Station scooped two Awards; the prestigious Community Rail Network Award for Outstanding Contribution to Community Rail over the last 12 months, and the Most Enhanced Railway Space Award for ‘A Creative Hub at Goostrey Station’.

Friends of Romiley Station were also short-listed in this category for their Queens Platinum Jubilee Garden and Interpretive Board.

Goostrey were placed second in the Photo Competition for their ‘Volunteer Pride’ image, which shows the team holding their 2021 CBKS Award!

Alsager Station Adopt a Shelter also came third in the Small Art Project category.

Goostrey’s wins was the best performance by a Cheshire group at the Community Rail awards since Mid Cheshire CRP took the Overall Winner Award in 2015.
